Public Knowledge is the public sector division of media and advertising research specialist Dipsticks Research Limited; a professional full-service agency, conducting quantitative and qualitative research projects across the UK from their offices in Hexham. Their quantitative resources include an in-house face-to-face fieldwork team, with over 600 Interviewer Quality Control Scheme (IQCS) trained interviewers specialising in quantitative fieldwork and recruitment across the UK; a computer assisted telephone interview (CATI) facility of 20 seats and an internally managed online research panel, panelbase.net, with over 150,000 registered members who have opted-in to online, mobile, telephone and focus group research with children. They also have substantial experience conducting both focus groups and in-depth interviews with a wide range of public and private sector clients and have developed pioneering techniques, such as mobile research using both SMS and WAP, GPS tracking and X-Ray Spex.
