Pothole Spotter is a pioneering piece of technology which helps local authorities monitor road surfaces and identify weak areas which could develop into potholes.
Our client Professional Construction Strategies Group (PCSG) required a visual solution which allowed it to easily show how the technology worked and what the benefits were to a range of stakeholders, many of whom didn’t possess detailed technical understanding of the issues.
We started by creating an overarching brand for the solution before developing this into an infographic and a two-minute animation that brought the Pothole Spotter technology to life for a non-specialist audience. The animation explained Pothole Spotter to as broad an audience as possible and acted as an introduction for the technology that could have further layers of expert commentary added on in presentation situations or within press/media opportunities.
The animated and graphical assets formed a key element of PCSG’s communications around the Pothole Spotter pilot, including substantial media coverage in national, regional and trade publications – this included sections of the animation being used as part of a feature on BBC One’s The One Show.
